Matty is all bundled up in his new hat and mittens. Socks? They're optional.

Football!

We braved the chill to chase the football around for awhile on Monday morning.

Morrill Hall Part 2

We had so much fun on Thursday, we decided to take Owen back to share all the fun things we saw with him. Matthew couldn't wait to show him all the different fossils of teeth.

Matthew also remembered right where the rattlesnake display is. Not only does this display have a button to push, but it allows for "peeking" too.

It was a busy morning, but a fun one. We saw all the exhibits again, dug for fossils in the rock pile in the discovery center, and ended the morning with lunch at Noodles.

Morrill Hall

We decided to go to the "dinosaur museum" with some of our friends this morning, but soon realized how much more there was to it than just dinosaurs. I had not been to look at the exhibits since probably elementary school, so it was really neat to see all the things that had been added. It turned out to be the perfect place for toddlers to run around, because there is nothing that they can't touch. There were lots of good things to look at like "I-Nos" (rhinos) and lots of buttons to push. A favorite spot was in the discovery center, where there are lots of things to touch. Matthew liked the feathers the best.

Enjoying the Park

The nice days are going to be few and far between for the next couple of months, so we decided to take advantage and spend some time at the park by our house. I'll have to admit, it was a bit chillier than I had planned, but Matty didn't seem to mind and he was certainly not ready to go home.

Tractor Museum

The week started with a trip to the tractor museum and the tractor test center on East Campus with some friends from Lincoln Mommies. Matthew loved sitting in all the old tractors in the museum and all the new ones in the test center.

Matthew's favorite was the water truck, where he could honk the horn. The students couldn't have been nicer to a group of about 10 toddlers, lifting them up in the tractors and showing them which buttons they could push.
We can't wait to go back in the spring when they are actually testing some of the tractors on the track.

Family, Food, and Football

We had pizza at my mom's for Owen's birthday and watched the Husker game. Matthew practiced his trick-or-treating, even though Halloween was last week, and finished by trying on some new hats.

Aunt Jessica also helped Matty play with a great new toy - those plastic triangle tables that they put on pizza.
