Pirate Ship Park

Our friends introduced us to "The Pirate Ship Park" last summer. It's a requested favorite, when I'm in the mood to drive to a park or reward errand running. We have a couple more days of unseasonably nice weather to do some leaf jumping and swinging. With daylight savings time ending over the weekend, the sun was nearly setting, but we still enjoyed ourselves.

Aunt Jessica came along for some extra fun. She is currently the boys' favorite playmate.

Owen's Birthday

The kids were very excited to celebrate Owen's birthday this morning. Mostly, Matthew was excited to help wrap and open the presents. Sammy just knew there was paper to shake.

Mask Painting

We picked up a couple of jack-o-lantern masks at our local mommies group Halloween party. We've had a great time running around scaring each other, complete with fake screaming, even though they were white. I promised as soon as we had a free nap time, we would get out the paints. The mask is much scarier now.

Matthew's Perspective

Matthew is becoming quite the shutterbug. I can't get the camera out anymore without him asking if he can take some pictures (or 20). He's starting to get some pretty good shots. So, I thought I would devote the 5th to Matthew's 5 best from the previous month.

Rub-a-dub-dub

Bath time is always a special time for Owen and the boys. By the time bath rolls around, I could use a few minutes to myself and Owen loves being able to spend the time playing and chatting with the boys by himself.

Sammy is obsessed with standing in the tub now, which is not the safest activity, but he's very proud of himself.

Clean babies in jammies are my favorite.

Wordless Wednesday

Slide

I keep thinking that each day will be our last one where we can truly enjoy being outdoors without jackets or the last day we will have a picnic for the year. And then, we have another gorgeous day. I will never get tired of this fall.

We met some friends after preschool for a picnic lunch and to run off some crazies. Sammy is really starting to dig the slide.

 And yes, I'm teaching Sammy the importance of participating in the political process early :).
